Scene - Hotel lobby. A BELLHOP is stood facing almost away from camera with his hands clasped behind his back. Next to him is a couch where JOEL is sitting almost facing camera with a drink. JOEL looks over at the BELLHOP and points to the jacket of the uniform he is wearing. JOEL: Hey do they give you these uniforms or do you have to buy 'em? The BELLHOP looks over to JOEL. BELLHOP: Uh, they give them to us. The BELLHOP looks away. JOEL: I always wondered. It's nice, the piping and all. BELLHOP: Thank you Sir. He looks away again. Joel considers. JOEL: Have you ever been to New York? Phil? BELLHOP: (to JOEL) Nope. Never been there. JOEL: (looking at his drink) That's where I'm from. Queens actually. People think of New York they always think of Manhattan, but there's five boroughs, did you know that? BELLHOP: (to JOEL) No, I didn't. JOEL: Yup, five. Five little towns, all in themselves. Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn (carries on) A bell rings. The BELLHOP looks at JOEL as he walks away. BELLHOP: That's me. Take it easy. JOEL: Catch you later. Joel continues drinking as the BELLHOP leaves. | |
